wow we were allowed to close early because of the weather here in Atlanta
In my 16 years with CVS this was the first time I have ever seen us be allowed to close early we are a 10pm store and the DM called at 3 and said we would be closing at 5 because the roads were almost undriveable again wow and that surprised me

i worked morning shift the past two days and made it better and safer than drivers so when they asked me to come in today i said no problem but walking home the mile and a half I realized the sidewalks were worse than the roads because the snow and ice had been compacted down to the point they were a solid block of ice so even though i walk i had to call back when i got home and call out it would be too dangerous for me to walk especially since I am on Coumedin argh I hate having to do that but if i slip and fall it would really bad

Last winter we had a horrible blizzard and our new DM called and told us to close early...only like two hours. Anyway, he apparently got into trouble for doing so and hasn't been able to since even though we have had a terrible winter this year.

Over two feet of snow fell here. The most ever in 2 days. Wasn't sure I could make it in as our alley and street in front were unplowed until 1 hour before I was due to go in. I was able to make it in. I had hoped they might close early as it was still snowing and the police were asking people to stay off the roads. Since it was on a Saturday that means our pharmacy closes at 6 PM. The only few customers we had come in after 6 were those who needed beer and cigarettes. You can't let people go without their necessities. ;-)

With all the cost cutting we've had after the holidays you'd think they'd jump at the chance to save money by shutting down the lights and closing early.

Had I not showed up I would have been given an "occurence" on my employee record.

She did it with RM approval it happened an hour after Publix made news closing their stores at 4pm and Kroger closed their stores at 7. Remember Atlanta only had 10 snowplows at that time, after that storm they now have access to 80 plows from contractors
