5 Year Gift  
Until recently, I've known that employees got to choose their own gifts for their loyalty to CVS. Now, I found out just when I reached the 5 year mark, they decided to change it and send you whatever and not give you a choice. I'm pissed because I looked on a site last year and had my eye on a luggage set and I'm going to be so pissed if they send me a dumb pen or 5 year plaque. Wouldn't there be something against this such as being "grandfathered" in where it would not apply to me? - or CVS just screwed me out of a nice gift and I cannot do anything about it? Thoughts?

I hit my 5 year this year, and I'm pretty sure we have no choice. They're saving tons of money by switching companies for the presentation box/envelope thing (which they may be getting rid of altogether) and we only get a pin. The email said as of Jan 1st I think, so I doubt there is any way to get grandfathered in. It's a corporate thing and has pretty much nothing to do with store-level management who actually might want an employee to be happier.

poop. this bites. I want freakin luggage lol not a lame pin. I would have left if I knew I was not going to get the luggage.
