I'm free!!!!!!!
I haven't seen any new postings in here for ages.  Everyone must be doing well.

As of early December  I am no longer owned by CVS.  I retired!!!!!! - and boy does it feel good.  I was working 4 and a half hours a week the last couple of months.  Wasn't worth my gas money to go in for that few hours. If that isn't proof they want to get rid of you I don't know what is. The one thing I can't complain about is I finally got a great boss.  He gave me every weekend off since he's been at our store. Not his fault my hours were cut so drastically.  He has to go along with what those above him tell him to do.

Just wanted to say good luck to the rest of you and hope things go well in 2013.  Have a Happy New Year and God Bless! :-)

Thanks! I have not gone back to the store since I left on Dec. 3rd. I think I left at a good time. I heard after the holidays my hours might get cut to working every other week and then gradually no hours at all. Nice way to treat someone for 19 years of never using sick days, never coming in late, never missing a day. I did get criticized last year from one of the supervisors because I took 1 day off to be with my daughter when she had her baby. I had even told my boss that I wanted to be at the hospital with her when the time came. I don't miss working with her, that's for sure. LOL

I haven't seen anyone posting here for quite some time. Just wondered if everyone was afraid that CVS would find out and give them a hard time.

Well, anyway, hope you are doing well and I will still be checking in from time to time to see whats going on. Take care.

With warmest regards,

No one seems to care about loyalty anymore. The best manager I ever had got "managed" out by corporate because he'd been with CVS for 20 years and wasn't a sycophant who was willing to comply with their fancy new ideas. He ended up jumping ship to Rite Aid before they could find a reason to fire him. The guy they replaced him with was the absolute worst manager I'd ever worked for and the reason I eventually quit. Pffft.

I don't think anyone's afraid to post. LJ has been kind of dead lately. Who wants to blog when you can tweet and Instagram, I guess.
